Paris Fashion Week… take four…

09/03/2009

My new obcession is blue and black together. I think it just looks right. Costume National have perfected this look in their Paris collection. With sheer and shimmer mixed together they combined two excellent fabrics to produce a fabulous result. Beautiful black coats were seen at Sonia Rykiel. The first one in the pictures above is amazing. I love the ruffle detailing it just adds…

Paris Fashion Week… take three…

Everyone always expects a show from Gaultier and he definitely delivered with this collection. The tights especially stood out for me, which is obviously not the main point of his collection. But hey I have an obcession with tights. The blues in his collection really lifted the mood and brought the outfits to life. I LOVE the jacket on the far right in the top…

Paris Fashion Week… take two…

Christophe Decarnin is now my new god. I went a little mad on the images for this one. But he has actually created the most beautiful and perfect collection. Style.com seemed to think he’s a bit of a one trick pony. But I say if your good at something why not make it perfect. As you can probably tell by now I love sequins so…

Paris Fashion Week…

Well, he’s done it again. Gareth’s managed to include everything I love about clothes into his collection in Paris. Black, black and a touch of shimmer. Everything that came down the runway just oozes sophistication. I especially love all the coats that appear in his collection, I can imagine flouncing around my local town with power shoulders to die for. I haven’t really paid much…

Milan Fashion Week…

Pringle of Scotland had some great basics. Their ‘woolwear’ was especially well out together. However from their edgy adverts featuring Daisy Lowe I expected a little more from them in terms of individuality. However it was a well brought together collection. D&G were never going to tone down their show for this season. The credit crunch doesn’t seem to affect the massive houses of fashion.…

More from London Fashion Week…

New knitwear talent Mark Fast has put on a great first show. I love his take on knitwear. The bodycon dresses are exactly on trend, and the fringing gives it an extra little twist. I’d love to flounce down the high street in the outfit in the first picture. Fabulous! I have to say I love this collection. They have great basics all wrapped up.…

London Fashion Week…

It was Sienna and her sister Savannah’s debut show this London Fashion Week. I have to say I’m really rather impressed. I’ve picked out some of the best looks above. They have definitely got the dress designing down to a t. They are all simple but at the same time just that little bit different. A strength for them I have to agree with numerous…

New York continued….

( L – R Alexander Wang x 2, Temperley London x2, and Jason Wu.) So here are my last choices from New York Fashion week. For me it’s all about sharp silhouettes and high heels. I think Alexander Wang got this down to the finest detail. The detailing on his high waisted trousers were impeccable and I think he really portrayed the ‘strong woman’ throughout…

Let the fashion commence…

20/02/2009

So it’s no surprise to anyone remotely interested in fashion that the ‘fashion weeks’ are upon us. New York was first up in one of the major fashion weeks with its week being scheduled from the 13th to the 20th of February. Unfortunately I can not be there due to well lack of money and commitments over here. And the fact it wouldn’t be plausible…

The current economic climate…

So its no big news that the current economic climate is still on a down turn. But it is good to see the the world of fashion can still flourish at a time like this. The latest issue of Vogue just landed on my mat literally 10 minutes ago and I started flicking through the pages. An advert for the latest Conde Nast publication LOVE appears…
