Milan Fashion Week…

03/03/2009

Pringle of Scotland had some great basics. Their ‘woolwear’ was especially well out together. However from their edgy adverts featuring Daisy Lowe I expected a little more from them in terms of individuality. However it was a well brought together collection. D&G were never going to tone down their show for this season. The credit crunch doesn’t seem to affect the massive houses of fashion.…

More from London Fashion Week…

25/02/2009

New knitwear talent Mark Fast has put on a great first show. I love his take on knitwear. The bodycon dresses are exactly on trend, and the fringing gives it an extra little twist. I’d love to flounce down the high street in the outfit in the first picture. Fabulous! I have to say I love this collection. They have great basics all wrapped up.…

London Fashion Week…

23/02/2009

It was Sienna and her sister Savannah’s debut show this London Fashion Week. I have to say I’m really rather impressed. I’ve picked out some of the best looks above. They have definitely got the dress designing down to a t. They are all simple but at the same time just that little bit different. A strength for them I have to agree with numerous…

New York continued….

( L – R Alexander Wang x 2, Temperley London x2, and Jason Wu.) So here are my last choices from New York Fashion week. For me it’s all about sharp silhouettes and high heels. I think Alexander Wang got this down to the finest detail. The detailing on his high waisted trousers were impeccable and I think he really portrayed the ‘strong woman’ throughout…

Let the fashion commence…

20/02/2009

So it’s no surprise to anyone remotely interested in fashion that the ‘fashion weeks’ are upon us. New York was first up in one of the major fashion weeks with its week being scheduled from the 13th to the 20th of February. Unfortunately I can not be there due to well lack of money and commitments over here. And the fact it wouldn’t be plausible…

British Fashion…. taking risks

27/10/2008

I published this in my University newspaper. Thought I’d post it up here with a few changes. British Fashion – Taking Risks Brits have always been renowned for having the most exciting avant–garde fashion available. From the likes of Vivienne Westwood to Gareth Pugh, our fashion designers are usually making the most cutting edge, stand-out pieces on the catwalk. Whereas New York, Paris, and Milan…

I cried a thousand tears…

So today after uni I thought I’d pop into town to have a browse at the all new TKMAXX in Leeds. While rifling around the racks I found the most beautiful dress ever… but alas it was still £199 and I just couldn’t afford it. Behold the McQueen dress! I know it doesn’t look that good in this picture but it was extremely wonderful! I…
